SEO Systems Advisory
Independent, senior counsel on the structural side of SEO: the architecture, templates, processes and decisions that determine how a large site performs in search, often for years at a time.
- Growth has flattened even though we keep adding content and pages. Why?
- We’re planning a migration or replatform. What does it put at risk, and how do we protect it?
- Which templates, facets and page types should be indexed, and which should not?
- How should SEO decisions be owned across product, engineering and editorial?
- How do Google and AI systems currently read our site, and what should change?
I look at the site as a system: which searches and page types matter to the business, how templates, internal linking, rendering and indexation serve them, and what your release process and roadmap will realistically allow.
Recommendations come once I know where performance is actually constrained. They are specific, prioritized, and written with the people who will implement them in mind.
Working documents, written for the people who will act on them. Depending on the engagement, that may include:
- An executive brief on the core constraint, what it means for the business, and the decisions it requires.
- An AI visibility and crawler readiness review, covering how Google, AI crawlers and retrieval systems access and interpret your content.
- An incident control model, for teams that want a standing process for diagnosing and stabilizing traffic loss.
Advisory work is scoped around a defined question, with a set timeframe and output. Some clients also keep a regular monthly review in place once the initial work is complete.
